The Artist
- Born and lived in Fulham London for 45 years
- Worked as a professional photographer in advertsing and publishing industry
- Lived since 2001 in South West Germany
- Married with three grown up children
- Been passionate about art since at age 11 visiting a Cezanne exhibition at Tate London
- Self taught augmented by part time study of life drawing and landscape painting
All my paintings are made with oil paints, most with water soluble oil paints by Windsor and Newton or Cobra.This is for health and enviromental reasons. Some of my largest paintings are made using traditional oils.I use canvas lined boards, which are then given a further 3 coats of gesso primer.Favourite formats have been 30 x 40cms and 24 x 30 cms. Painting larger is also fun and you can find in my gallery some paintings going up to 180cms in width.
